I can't help but to believe that Blackberry and ATT planned it this way. hairyasian. i just went ahead and manually installed vodaphone's 4.5 os on my tmo pearl. it was quite glitchy for some time... kept crashing and rebooting. but i let it be for about 6 hours ... To the person asking about 8900 on Sprint: do some reading, only CDMA devices will work on Sprint and there is no Bold/Javelin/etc. CDMA. Unless you want a Nextel 8350 there is nothing new for Sprint . ...Another OS5.0 change quickly noticed while booting up the Curve 8530 is that it no longer shows the cellular network as EV . It just shows 3G. This is maybe being done to hide or mask the underlying technology and simply refer to it as 3G no ... We all know that in a move to keep the overall cost of the device low, the 8500 series is still using a 2 Megapixel camera while the 8900 and all other new BlackBerry models are using the 3.2 Megapixel autofocus camera. ...For those of you whom have had your hands on the Pre, have any of you guys timed how long it takes to reboot? Has anyone else come across this? I'm not fluent in French, so I'm not installing it. Am happy with what I've got. Will keep my eyes open for updates to the desktop software though. Scroll down for English ... I'm trying to install version 4.5 but the download from blackberry's site is excruciatingly slow... i'm excited to see how the media sync works with itunes... cuz i was tired of having to pay sprint and itunes for music i wanted to listen to that i already had. ...
